KUALA LUMPUR: A jilted lover is threatening to expose his own videotaped bedroom romps.
They first met as colleagues two years ago, and their friendship developed into a relationship. But it soured when she discovered that he was married.
"I broke up with him in July last year when I found out that he was married.
"I thought we could part amicably but he started sending me text messages saying he'll spread videos of our lovemaking sessions on the Internet if I didn't continue having sex with him," the woman said at a press conference at the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department here yesterday.
The woman went on having sex with him out of fear until last month, when she decided that enough was enough.
She lodged a police report on Dec 29 and her case is being investigated.
Department head Datuk Michael Chong said there were six similar cases last year.
"I believe that this is only the tip of the iceberg and that there will be many more to come," he added.
He urged victims to come forward to seek help and not to live in fear.
He also reminded girls to be more careful to avoid being caught in compromising situations.
